The University of Milan is offering 160 Excellence Scholarships for international students starting their Master’s Degree programs in Italy for the 2025-26 academic year. These scholarships are awarded to outstanding students who enroll in the first year of a Master’s program at the university.

The scholarships aim to support top-performing students by covering tuition fees and providing financial aid.

Scholarship Benefits

The University of Milan Excellence Scholarships include:

  • 60 Scholarships: Full tuition fee exemption + €8,000 grant each
  • 100 Scholarships: Full tuition fee exemption (without an additional stipend)

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the University of Milan Excellence Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be international students from any country.
  • Apply for a Master’s Degree program at the University of Milan.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Have a high academic standing.
  • Provide proof of English language proficiency (usually B1 or B2 level, according to CEFR).

💡 Important:

  • There is no separate application for the Excellence Scholarship.
  • All eligible applicants who submit their admission applications by 31 May 2025 will automatically be considered.
  • Non-EU applicants residing outside Europe must submit their Master’s program applications by 30 April 2025 to be eligible.

  3. No separate scholarship application is needed — the university will automatically review your admission application for scholarship eligibility.

  • After completing the registration procedure, applicants will get an e-mail with instructions for activating their account at the address they gave during the registration process. If the applicant does not activate credentials within 24 hours, they should re-register.
  • Applicants can verify their identity here.
  • Select the course of interest and complete the online form with personal information.
  • Applicants will receive a receipt via the e-mail address used for the application after the online registration process.
  • Applicants requiring visa should also apply for pre-enrollment by July 31, 2025
