Pathways Japan (PJ) is a non-profit organization that helps refugees, including Afghans, study and build a future in Japan. Through its Japanese Language School Pathways program, it offers:

  • 2 years of language study in Japan

  • Full scholarship, including tuition, flight, visa, and a living stipend

  • Career and education support for university or job placement

  • Part-time job opportunities during studies

Eligibility (Afghan Applicants – 2026)

  • Afghan nationals who left after August 2021

  • High school grads (under 26) or university grads (under 33)

  • No dependents; must commit to studying Japanese and working part-time
