Job Description
The Women PeaceMakers Fellowship at the Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice (Kroc IPJ) is a distinguished program aimed at empowering women peacebuilders from conflict-affected regions. Since its inception in 2002, the fellowship has offered a platform for women leaders working on gender, peace, and security issues, fostering collaboration with international partners. The program blends learning, research, and practical experience to enhance peacebuilding strategies and strengthen global networks.
The fellowship runs from September to July and includes a two-week residency at the University of San Diego, usually in November. During this residency, Fellows engage with experts, refine their skills, and contribute to research that influences peacebuilding policies and practices. Fellows receive a stipend of $15,000, with additional expenses covered, allowing them to focus on their mission. This transformative experience also provides opportunities to expand professional networks and establish partnerships for sustainable peace efforts.
