Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:

Be a female student from Afghanistan.

Be entering the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science as an undergraduate student.

Demonstrate strong academic performance and potential for success in engineering or computer science.

Be selected by the Senate Committee on Awards, based on recommendations from the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science.
English Language Requirements
Applicants must meet UVic’s English language proficiency standards through one of the following methods:

Standardized Tests:

CAEL: Minimum 70 (no section below 60)

Cambridge C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency: Minimum 180 (no skill below 170)

IELTS Academic: Minimum 6.5 (no component below 6.0)

PTE: Minimum 65 (no skill below 60)

TOEFL iBT: Minimum 90 (no section below 20)

Alternative Option: Successful completion of UVic’s University Admission Preparation (UAP) program with at least 80%.

Conditional Admission: Some programs allow students to meet the language requirement after admission.

$86 for transcripts from Canadian institutions
