Job Description

The University of Toronto, in collaboration with Massey College and the School of Graduate Studies, offers the Scholars-at-Risk Fellowship to support graduate students whose academic work has been disrupted due to political challenges or refugee/asylum seeker status. This fellowship aims to promote academic excellence, cultural diversity, and community engagement within the university.

Eligibility:
Applicants must:

  • Be current or incoming full-time master’s or PhD students at the University of Toronto
  • Have sought asylum or refugee status within the last five years or have been affected by political issues in their home country
  • Show strong academic achievements (via transcripts and research potential)
  • Demonstrate financial need through a financial assessment form
  • Be committed to contributing to the university community

  • Curriculum vitae (CV)
  • University of Toronto Offer of Admission (if applicable)
  • Proof of asylum/refugee status

  • One confidential Letter of Reference
  • SGS Financial Need Assessment Form.

Application Process:
