The University of Bologna is accepting applications for its First Cycle Degree programs in Business and Economics (CLABE) and Management and Economics (CLAME) for the 2025/26 academic year. Special reserved spots are available for displaced students, refugees, and Afghan or Iranian female students living in their home countries. Who Can Apply?

Applicants must meet both the general admission and reserved position eligibility requirements:

General Admission Requirements

  • Educational Qualification:

    • 5-year high school diploma (Italian or equivalent) OR

    • 4-year high school diploma + an extra year OR

    • Foreign qualification equivalent to at least 12 years of schooling (recognized by Italian authorities)

  • Must obtain the required diploma by December 31, 2025 (or enrollment will be canceled)

  • Language Requirement: Minimum B2 level (assessed during the interview)

Eligibility for Reserved Positions

  • Displaced students or refugees: Must have valid Italian residence permits (asylum, subsidiary/special/temporary protection)

  • Afghan female students: Must be residing in Afghanistan or a third country for visa purposes

  • Iranian female students: Must be residing in Iran

  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) (preferably in Europass format)

  • Presentation letter

  • Residence permit or proof of application (for those in Italy)

Selection Process

  1. Application Review: The admission board checks if the candidate meets all requirements.

  2. Evaluation Criteria (Total: 100 points):

    • CV & Presentation Letter: 20 points

    • Language Skills: 40 points

    • Logical & Mathematical Skills: 40 points

  3. Shortlisting:

    • Top 50 candidates per category (Afghan, Iranian, refugee/displaced) are shortlisted.

    • Selection is based on academic grades (grades may be converted if necessary).

  4. Interview (April 14–16, 2025):

    • Conducted online via Microsoft Teams.

    • Invitations sent to candidates via email.

    • No late or rescheduled interviews are allowed.

    • Candidates needing special accommodations must email: [email protected].

  5. Final Ranking:

    • Candidates need at least 50/100 to qualify.

    • If logical/mathematical score is below 20/40, an Additional Learning Requirement (OFA) is assigned (to be completed by March 31, 2027).

    • If two candidates score the same, the younger applicant is prioritized.
