Job Description
The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), in partnership with the Hungarian Government, is now accepting applications for the FAO-Hungarian Government Scholarship Program 2025-26. This prestigious program offers a Master of Science degree in English at the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a citizen of one of the eligible countries.
- Demonstrate English proficiency (minimum C1 level).
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, along with academic transcripts (minimum of 60 credits in subjects related to the host institution’s Food Engineering BSc program).
- Be under the age of 30 (preferred).
- Be motivated and in good health.

Selection Process
The selection process involves two stages:
- Phase 1:
- The FAO screens applications and forwards eligible candidates to the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture.
- The Ministry submits applications to the host universities for review.
- Incomplete applications will be rejected.
- Phase 2:
- Shortlisted candidates may undergo a written or oral English exam.
- Final selections will be made by the host university, with no involvement from the FAO.
- The Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture will notify selected candidates.
