Scholarship Benefits

Successful applicants will receive a scholarship of £28,000, distributed in equal monthly payments from October to July, with additional payments in February and the final month of the course.


Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a 2:1 degree (or higher), a Ph.D., or a Master’s degree in a relevant field. Applicants with a 2:2 degree may be eligible if they can demonstrate significant language proficiency.
  • Proficiency in French, German, or Spanish is essential.
  • Secure a place on a non-salaried teacher training course in England that leads to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) for the 2025/26 academic year by September 2025.

Selection Criteria

Candidates will be assessed based on:

  • Passion for teaching languages at A Level.
  • Relevant skills, knowledge, and teaching experience.
  • Motivation for becoming a teacher and inspiring others to learn languages.
  • Intercultural experiences, including time spent living or working abroad.
  • Understanding of language education in England.
