Job Description
The Ministry of Education, Science, Research, and Sport of Slovakia offers Slovakia Government Scholarships 2025/2026.
70 scholarships annually for students from Official Development Assistance (ODA) countries to pursue bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. degrees in Slovakia.
For Afghanistan, four (4) scholarships are available for bachelor’s and master’s degrees. here
Key Details:
- Application Period: March 24, 2025 – May 25, 2025
- Levels of Study: Bachelor’s, Master’s, Ph.D. (Only bachelor’s and master’s scholarships are available for Afghan students)
- Medium of Instruction: Slovak
- Slovak Language Preparation Course: A 10-month preparatory course is provided for students who do not speak Slovak.
Scholarship Benefits:
For Bachelor’s & Master’s:
- €540/month stipend
- €100 study commencement stipend
- €200 study completion stipend
- €80/month public university stipend
For Ph.D.:
- €1,000/month stipend
- €100 study commencement stipend
- €200 study completion stipend
- €240/month public university stipend
For Language Preparation:
- €540/month stipend
- €100 study commencement stipend
- €80/month public university stipend
Additional Incentives:
- Academic excellence bonus: €50/month for students with a GPA of 1.3 or better
- Ph.D. exam completion bonus: €170/year

Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be from an eligible ODA country
- Age Requirement:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s: 18–26 years (as of September 1, 2025)
- Ph.D.: 23–35 years
