Jönköping University (JU) in Sweden is pleased to offer scholarships for the Autumn 2025 intake, covering up to 30% of tuition fees for both international and domestic students. Scholarship Details:

  • Award Amount: 30% of the tuition fees for the selected program.
  • Eligible Programs: Scholarships are available for both Bachelor’s and Master’s programs at Jönköping University.
  • Available Subjects: Scholarships apply to all available programs offered at the university.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the JU Scholarship, applicants must meet the following conditions:

  • Citizenship: Applicants must be citizens of countries that are required to pay tuition fees in Sweden.
  • Tuition Fee Requirement: You must be required to pay tuition fees for studies at Jönköping University.
  • Program Selection: The program you choose must be your first-choice program in the Swedish national university admissions system or through the university’s direct admission process.
  • Program Level: Applicants must have applied for an on-campus bachelor’s or master’s program at Jönköping University.
  • Application: Submit a complete scholarship application before the deadline.

Note: Even if you haven’t received an offer yet, you may still apply for the scholarship after submitting your program application.

Scholarship Compatibility:

Please note that this scholarship cannot be combined with other scholarships from agreements between Jönköping University and organizations like FIDERH, FUNED, and COLFUTURO. However, recipients may still be eligible for financial support from these organizations.

English Language Proficiency Requirements:

If English is not your native language, you will need to provide proof of your English language proficiency. Accepted tests include:

  • TOEFL iBT: Minimum overall score of 90, with at least 20 in the written section.
  • IELTS Academic: Overall band score of 6.5, with no band score below 5.5.
  • Cambridge English Qualifications: C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency.

Application Process:

  1. Choose Your Program: Make Jönköping University your first choice. Apply through the national university admissions system or directly via the university’s website.
  2. Gather Required Documents:
    • Letters of Recommendation: Provide one or two strong letters that highlight your academic potential and achievements.
    • Personal Statement: Write a compelling 200-word personal statement explaining your academic background, career aspirations, and why you want to study at Jönköping University.
    • Study Application Number: This number is available in your program application confirmation.
  3. Submit Your Application: The online scholarship application portal will open in mid-October 2024. Make sure to submit your complete application by the deadline, 2nd May 2025.
