Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS-G) 2025, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Application Procedure

Applicants can choose between two application tracks, each with its own process and quota:

1. Embassy Track

  • Applicants submit their application to the Korean Embassy in their home country.
  • The Embassy nominates selected candidates for the scholarship.
  • Quota: 669 scholarships available.

2. University Track

  • Applicants apply directly to a Korean university participating in the GKS program.
  • Quota:
    • General Admissions: 150 scholars
    • R-GKS (Regional Universities): 465 scholars
    • R&D Programs: 300 scholars
    • Global Network Programs: 80 scholars
