Job Description

Applications are now open for the 2025-2027 Erasmus+ EMJM and Consortium Scholarships for the European Master in Dynamics of Renewables-based Power Systems (DREAM).

This two-year multidisciplinary master’s program focuses on the dynamics and control of modern power systems. It aims to equip students with the expertise needed to address challenges in renewable energy integration and smart power systems, aligning with the European Commission’s energy and climate goals.

The program covers a wide range of subjects, including power systems, smart grids, renewable energy, automatic control, and power electronics. Students gain a comprehensive understanding of next-generation power systems, fostering integrated thinking and producing specialists for the evolving energy sector.

Recognized as a European Programme of Excellence under Erasmus+ 2021-2027, DREAM is jointly hosted by four prestigious European institutions:

  • École Centrale de Nantes (France)
  • Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Spain)
  • Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft (Germany)
  • National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest (Romania)

Scholarship Benefits

Erasmus+ EMJM Scholarships

  • Monthly stipend of €1,400 for 24 months
  • Coverage of travel, visa, installation, and subsistence costs
  • Full tuition fee waiver

Consortium Scholarships

For top-ranked applicants not awarded Erasmus+ scholarships:

  • Program country students: Tuition fee reduction of €4,000 or €2,000
  • Partner country students: Tuition fee reduction of €7,000 or €3,500

Additional benefits include access to university facilities, such as libraries, computer labs, and catering services.


Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Academic Qualifications:
    • A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with 180 ECTS in fields such as Power Systems, Smart Grids, Renewable Energy, Automatic Control, or Power Electronics.
    • Graduation deadlines:
      • Non-European students: By July 31, 2025
      • European students: By September 30, 2025
  2. English Proficiency:
    • Accepted tests:
      • TOEFL (CBT 220, ITP 550, IBT 80)
      • IELTS (6.5 or higher)
      • Cambridge (B2 First: 173+, C1 Advanced: 160+)
      • TOEIC: 800+
    • Exemption: Proof of English-taught university education.
  3. Residency Proof: Issued within 12 months before the application deadline.

Selection Process

  1. Application Review: Based on academic performance, field relevance, and submitted documents.

  3. Ranking: A main list and a reserve list will be prepared.
  4. Final Selection: Consideration of academic and professional qualifications, with no more than 10% of scholarships awarded to candidates of the same nationality.
