The University of Pavia, in collaboration with the Institute of the Right to University Studies (EDiSU), is offering six CICOPS Scholarships for 2026 to encourage academic cooperation and development with scholars from developing countries. These scholarships support short research visits (between 4 and 12 weeks) at the University of Pavia, providing opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be from a developing country
• Have at least two years of teaching or research experience at a university or international organization
• Not be currently enrolled in a PhD or postgraduate program at an Italian university

Selection Process

A committee composed of the CICOPS President and two university representatives will review applications based on:

• Scientific value of the research proposal
• Applicant’s academic background and CV
• Geographic and institutional diversity
• Priority is given to applicants from low-income countries, universities with existing cooperation agreements with Pavia, or those endorsed by honorary consuls

Final results will be announced by June 30, 2025.
