The Brunei Darussalam Government Scholarship for the academic year 2025–2026 is now open for international applicants. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brunei is offering fully funded scholarships for diploma, bachelor’s, and master’s degree programs at various universities in Brunei, including Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB), Kolej Universiti Perguruan Ugama Seri Begawan (KUPU SB), and Politeknik Brunei (PB).

Key Details:

• Eligibility: International applicants (excluding permanent residents of Brunei).
• Level of Study: Diploma, Bachelor’s, and Master’s degree programs.
• Funding Type: Fully funded.
• Funding Duration: 1 year (with the possibility of renewal based on academic performance).
• Application Deadline: February 15, 2025.
• Program Start Date: July or August 2025.

• Tuition Fees: Waived for the entire duration of the program.

Eligibility Criteria:

• For Bachelor’s and Diploma Programs: Applicants should be aged 18 to 25.
• For Master’s Degree Programs: Applicants must be under 35 years old as of July 1, 2025.
• Applicants must possess a minimum GCE “O” Level Credit 6 in English, IGCSE Grade C in English (Second Language), IELTS score of 6.0, or TOEFL score of 550.

Important Notes:

• Applicants for UBD and UTB must complete additional online applications specific to each institution.
• The scholarship is non-transferable and cannot be held concurrently with another scholarship or grant.
• The recipient is required to return to their home country after the completion of the program.
