Job Description
The Royal Thai Government (RTG) Scholarships 2025 at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Thailand are open to both domestic and international students. These prestigious scholarships are available for students pursuing Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in a variety of subjects offered at AIT. The scholarship is fully funded, covering tuition, accommodation, and living expenses. The application deadline for the 2025 intake is February 28, 2025.
Types of Scholarships:
- His Majesty the King’s Scholarships for Doctoral Programs
These scholarships are for exceptional students aiming to pursue a Ph.D. at AIT’s School of Engineering and Technology (SET) or the School of Environment, Resources, and Development (SERD). Eligible countries include Bhutan, Laos PDR, Timor-Leste, ASEAN countries, and other Asian nations. - His Majesty the King’s Scholarships for Master’s Programs
Designed for students with strong undergraduate records to pursue a Master’s degree at SET or School of Management (SOM). - Her Majesty the Queen’s Scholarships for Master’s Programs
These scholarships support students with outstanding undergraduate records who wish to pursue Master’s programs in environment-related fields at SERD. - Loom Nam Khong Pijai (GMS Scholarships) for Master’s Programs
In honor of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, this scholarship targets students from the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS) (including Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand, and Southern China). It focuses on programs in Infrastructure Development, Energy Technology, Natural Resources Development, and Environmental Engineering and Management.
Scholarship Benefits:
- Doctoral Programs: Covers tuition, registration fees, accommodation, and a living allowance for up to 41 months (7 semesters), totaling around 1.96 million Thai Baht.
- Master’s Programs: Covers tuition, accommodation, and living expenses for 22 months, with a total value of approximately 1.10 million Thai Baht.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Doctoral Programs: Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 in both undergraduate and master’s degrees. They must submit a research proposal and have two recommendation letters, along with proof of English proficiency (IELTS 6.0 or equivalent).
- Master’s Programs: Applicants need a GPA of 3.5 in their undergraduate degree and proof of English proficiency (IELTS 6.0 or equivalent).
