Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Hold nationality in an ADB borrowing member country.
• Possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a strong academic record.
• Have at least two years of full-time professional working experience.
• Demonstrate English proficiency (IELTS: 6.0, TOEFL: 550).
• Be no older than 35 years at the time of application (exceptions for specific programs may extend to 45 years).
• Be in good health.
• Commit to returning to their home country upon graduation to contribute to its development.
• Applicants must not:
  • Be enrolled in graduate programs or pursuing a second Master’s degree.
  • Reside or work in a country other than their home country.
  • Be employed at ADB, AIT, or any of their affiliates.

Selection Process

The selection process involves multiple stages:

1. Information Request: Applicants request details and forms from AIT.
2. Application Submission: Complete application forms and required documents submitted to AIT.
3. Institutional Screening: AIT ranks applicants based on eligibility and merit.
4. ADB Review: AIT submits the ranked list to ADB for further evaluation.
