This initiative aims to support students holding international protection status by providing financial aid and helping them integrate into the Italian higher education system.

This scholarship is part of a larger project funded by the Asylum, Migration, and Integration Fund (FAMI 2021-2027). It is designed to assist students in covering essential expenses while pursuing their academic goals. Eligibility Criteria

To apply for this scholarship, students must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in an Italian university for the 2024/25 academic year.
  • Must have international protection status in Italy (refugee status, subsidiary protection, or temporary protection for Ukrainian citizens).
  • Must be enrolling for the first time in an Italian university (previous enrollment in an Italian university makes applicants ineligible).
  • Students who completed a bachelor’s degree in Italy and received a Ministry of Interior scholarship in 2023/24 may apply for a master’s degree, provided they meet all eligibility requirements.
  • First-year Bachelor’s and Single-Cycle Master’s Degree applicants must provide a “Declaration of Value in Loco” or a CIMEA certification of their high school diploma.
  • Master’s degree applicants do not need a Declaration of Value in Loco, but a CIMEA certification is recommended.
  • The European Qualifications Passport for Refugees may be accepted as proof of qualifications.
  • Universities have the authority to handle the enrollment and registration process for refugee students.

  • A copy of an identity document issued in Italy.
  • A document proving international protection status in Italy.
  • A university enrollment certificate for the 2024/25 academic year.

Selection Process and Evaluation Criteria

The selection process will follow these guidelines:

  • Candidates must meet all eligibility criteria, including proof of international protection status and university enrollment.
  • Students must meet minimum academic credit (CFU) requirements depending on their year of study:
    • 1st Year: No CFU requirement
    • 2nd Year: 15 CFU
    • 3rd Year: 60 CFU
    • 4th Year: 90 CFU
    • 5th Year: 120 CFU
    • 6th Year: 150 CFU
  • A provisional ranking list will be published by March 30, 2025, based on enrollment confirmation.
  • All ranked candidates will undergo verification of their international protection status. Any discrepancies or false information will result in disqualification.
